Have we outgrown the name network marketing? Is it time for a new one? If you think about it, the word “network” implies “people that you know.” And sure, it would only make sense (if you believe in your product) that you would talk to those people… But that’s not really what we do anymore, is it?
In fact, “MLM” or “multi-level” isn’t exactly accurate either, with many reps opting to just make affiliate commissions on the products they personally sell.
In the age of social media and digital marketing, a lot of people are using other mechanisms to generate leads and sell products and services, and we’re starting to realize that maybe it’s time for a new name. A better name.
And I’d love YOUR opinion on this one… do you have a better way to describe what it is we do? Leave a comment and let me know…
